Net Trans Security Policy

One of the major design goals of Active Commission has been to achieve a rock-solid security model, yet flexible and user friendly enough for our customers. This model is described below.

Data collection: Net Trans Active Collector (NTAC) is the main vehicle of securely collecting and transmitting data to Active Commission. It contains no security risk for the travel agencies, since all communication is initiated from their side and no change in the IT security environment is necessary. By adding a proprietary Net Trans protocol on top of standard HTTP, we achieve two goals: First the use of a standard Internet protocol that requires nothing else from a security perspective than to browse the Internet. Secondly there is no transmission of customer data until the NTAC have verified this as being an Active Commission web server and vice versa.
Data security:  Net Trans have spent a lot of resources building a thorough and secure data environment in Active Commission. This means that no user not assigned the rights to specific data will ever be able to see or in any other way access them. Unlike many other web systems, this is not only a feature controlled at the web interface, but is built in as a core function of Active Commission, prohibiting unauthorized users of going in through backdoors in the system.
